Description
This abstract composition plays on the balance between geometric rigor and organic nuances. The artist structures the space through a play of collages and precise lines. The deep black of the ink and acrylic dominates the surface. It creates areas of density contrasting with the clarity of the paper.
A careful look reveals subtle gradients. The dark areas seem to breathe. They stretch into horizontal bands evoking atmospheric depth. A wide white band crosses the lower part diagonally. It breaks the verticality and guides the eye to the bottom of the composition.
The work with the material brings a subtle relief. The textures overlap to build a stable and serene visual rhythm. Each segment is delimited with exactitude. The whole exudes a mathematical harmony allied with pictorial sensitivity. This work dates from 197. It combines the use of acrylic, collage, and India ink on paper.
