Description
The balance is established in this abstract composition from 191. The gaze follows a play of interwoven geometric shapes. A large central rectangle dominates the space. It is articulated around a white void, the focal point of the canvas.
The palette favors soft tones. Shades of dusty pink and beige contrast with an olive green background. The material is worked with precision. The application of oil on the canvas reveals a textured grain. This relief brings a tactile dimension to the whole.
The structure is rigorous yet organic. The blocks of color overlap. Some contours remain blurred, others are clearly defined. This organization creates a tension between full and empty.
The gesture is assured. Each colored area occupies a strategic place. The whole exudes a reflective serenity. The light seems to emanate from the white center to illuminate the peripheral areas. The artist's signature appears discreetly in the bottom right.
