Description
This geometric composition is based on mathematical rigor. A network of fine lines draws a precise grid on the paper. The structure is inscribed in a tilted parallelogram. The white void dominates the space and brings immediate clarity.
India ink defines the frame with technical precision. A few squares are animated by touches of yellow and ochre. These colored punctuations create an irregular visual rhythm. They seem to float within the linear organization.
The balance arises from the contrast between the monotony of the grid and the spontaneity of the colors. The perspective suggests a flat and minimalist depth. Each square becomes a unit of measure.
The whole exudes an analytical serenity. The fineness of the line emphasizes a mastery of technical drawing. The work dates from 192.
