Description
Abstraction is expressed here by a play of deep contrasts. The composition is organized around a dark mass that dominates the space. Shades of night blue and black intermingle.
The material overlaps with precision. The artist uses acrylic, India ink, and chalk on paper. This mixture creates dense and varied textures. Splashes of powdered pink and light blue come to break the darkness.
The eye moves between the opaque areas and the more fluid passages. The gesture is controlled, almost architectural. The light seems to emerge from within the support. This painting from 194 explores depth and silence. The visual balance rests on the opposition between the blocks of color and the brushed traces. The signature and the date appear in the bottom right of the composition.
