Description
The visual balance rests on a rigorous play of contrasts. Fields of Sienna earth dominate the composition. They frame a clear vertical structure. The black line, precise and sharp, segments the space into distinct areas.
The technique mixes India ink and chalk on paper. The rendering alternates between smooth surfaces and grainy textures. Horizontal lines rhythm the right side of the painting. They suggest an imaginary architecture or a technical plan.
This abstract approach explores geometry and materiality. The artist uses strict graphic codes to organize the void and the full. A dark gray rectangle breaks the monotony of the pale background.
The whole exudes an ordered serenity. The eye moves between the blocks of color and the fine hatching. The signature and the date appear discreetly in the bottom right.
