Description
The gaze is immediately seized by the sharp contrast of this abstract composition. A solar, saturated yellow frames the scene. It acts as a raw light that emphasizes the density of the center.
A black mass asserts itself forcefully on the paper. The acrylic is applied in broad areas. The gesture is assured. The shapes interweave and fade.
The artist plays with superimpositions. Traces of white and neutral tones emerge beneath the dark pigment. They bring a subtle depth to the whole.
The graphic work is revealed in the details. Fine geometric lines stripe the margins. These lines bring a technical rigor that balances the organic aspect of the spots.
The balance between order and chaos defines this plastic exploration. The visual tension arises from the opposition between the clarity of the background and the opacity of the subject.
This painting dates from 193. It testifies to a mature exploration of matter and space. It is composed of an application of acrylic on paper.
