Description
Abstraction is expressed here by an architectural play of lines and masses. Wide, opaque black bands cut the space with rigor. They intersect to create a complex visual path. The background alternates between bright whites and brown earths.
The technique mixes acrylic, India ink, and chalk. This mixture of materials brings a tactile depth to the composition. Areas of collage paper add relief and subtle nuances in the interstices.
The balance rests on the contrast between the force of the dark lines and the lightness of the light areas. The structure evokes a reflected geometric organization, almost mechanical. Each angle directs the gaze toward a new vanishing point.
The final rendering plays on the superposition of layers. The line is sharp, precise, while allowing traces of rubbing to appear. This painting from 194 is distinguished by its chromatic sobriety and graphic tension.
