Description
This oil painting on canvas explores the rigor of geometric abstraction. The gaze dives into a vertical composition dominated by nocturnal hues.
The deep blue articulates around dark bands that rhythm the space. These lines sharpen and overlap with precision. The contrast between black and shades of azure creates a sensation of architectural depth.
The execution testifies to a technical mastery inherited from an engineering background. Each segment is delimited with care. The balance of masses suggests a solemn silence.
The artist plays with the saturation of colors to structure the plane. The flat surface becomes a field of experimentation on light and form. This piece, created in 194, illustrates a research into verticality and austerity. The whole is composed of broad areas of cool colors.
