Description
The gaze falls here on a composition of absolute purity. The acrylic saturates the canvas with a deep and uniform blue. In the center, four squares stand out with geometric precision.
These forms play with perception. They seem to sink into the material or float on the surface. The rigor of the line evokes a certain technical mastery. The balance of masses creates a visual silence.
The monochrome background envelops the motifs in a calm atmosphere. The contrast is played on subtle shades of blue. Every angle is sharp. The smooth surface accentuates the architectural aspect of the composition.
This canvas made in 20 is part of a research on form and color. The absence of superfluous details invites contemplation. The whole rests on perfect symmetry. The final rendering emphasizes the density of the paint on the canvas.
