Description
The precise line guides the gaze in this exercise of rigorous geometry.
Four compositions respond to each other on paper.
The rectangle becomes the field of a methodical spatial exploration.
Indian ink defines sharp and serving lines.
The yellow brings a solar clarity to the center of the page.
This color opposes the areas of vertical hatching and the white spaces.
The balance rests on a play of fills and voids.
The pencil structures the whole with technical discipline.
Each quadrant offers a subtle variation of the same structure.
The absence of perspective reinforces the flatness of the support.
This work dated 193 testifies to a research on proportion and symmetry.
The whole is composed of pencil, ink, and pigments on paper.
