1157 - Polyphonie visuelle, 1993

This geometric composition explores the balance between mathematical rigor and graphic freedom. Four squares structure the space on a clean white background. The black line, precise and constant, draws networks of intersecting lines and architectural perspectives.
India ink defines fine lines that intersect with technical exactitude. Yellow washes come to break this discipline. They insert themselves like flashes of light or organic shapes within a strict grid.
The contrast between the precision of the line and the fluidity of the color creates a visual tension. The arrangement suggests a musical score translated into plastic forms. The vertical lines on the outer edges anchor the composition and reinforce the structural aspect of the whole.
Created in 193, this paper drawing testifies to a research into spatiality. Each quadrant offers a variation of the same motif, playing with transparency and superposition. The work concludes with a discreet signature in the lower right corner.
