Description
This abstract composition explores matter and light. A dark, almost nocturnal background welcomes an organic streak of reddish pigments. The texture appears grainy, evoking a natural relief or mineral erosion.
The contrast between the deep black and the coppery hues creates a visual tension. The eye circulates along this colored column which seems to float in space. The artist works here on density and transparency.
Created in 2012, this piece uses acrylic and mixed media on paper. The rendering recalls the tones of a low sky or the reflections of an oxidized metal. The stroke is precise while remaining free.
The signature and date appear discreetly in the bottom right of the support. The whole exudes a solemn and contemplative atmosphere. The composition focuses on the balance between darkness and the brilliance of an earthy tone.
