Description
This abstract composition plays on a marked contrast. A large dark rectangle occupies the center of the canvas. It asserts itself through its density and depth. A blue vertical line crosses this space. It seems to oscillate, like a frequency captured in the silence.
The mixed technique brings relief to the whole. The acrylic is worked with precision to create varied textures. The blue background and pink touches frame the scene. These peripheral nuances bring a luminous breath.
The visual balance rests on this opposition between the opaque block and the finesse of the central line. The gaze is guided upwards, following this graphic rhythm. This painting from 1992 explores the tension between the full and the empty. The whole unfolds on a canvas where the pigments fade at the edges. The artist's signature appears discreetly in the bottom right.
