Description
Geometric art is expressed here through absolute mathematical rigor. The line, drawn with India ink, defines a complex architectural space. Straight lines intersect to create an illusion of depth. Perspectives overlap. The gaze circulates between suggested volumes and inclined planes.
This composition plays on repetition and symmetry. The white of the paper becomes an active element. It brings luminance clarity to the whole. The precision of the line reminds of a technical and structured approach. Each segment is thought out to guide the eye towards an invisible vanishing point.
The drawing rests on a fragile balance between void and solid. The sobriety of black and white reinforces the analytical aspect of the composition. The work explores the notion of pure structure and the management of void.
This paper work dates from 191. The final rendering is characterized by an extreme fineness of the line.
