Description
Indian ink draws a rigorous perspective here. The gaze is guided towards a central vanishing point. Straight lines structure the space. They evoke rails stretching towards the horizon. The drawing relies on precise geometry. This mathematical framework recalls the artist's engineering training.
Two organic forms come to break this stability. Leaves seem to float in the air. Their lightness contrasts with the rigidity of the linear network. The line is fine. The composition plays on the balance between order and chance. The white of the paper accentuates the purity of the blue line.
This piece embodies a search for depth and structure. It explores the tension between technical rigor and the freedom of natural movement. The work is dated August 13, 191. The whole is made on paper.
