Description
An abstract composition born in 1993. The eye is immediately captured by a sharp chromatic contrast. An intense red band saturates the left side. It opposes a textured mass of whites and ochre yellows.
The acrylic material is worked with relief. The gesture is visible, almost sculptural. The layers overlap to create an effect of depth. The painter plays with the thickness to give body to the canvas.
The whole is set within a deep black frame. This surrounding void isolates the scene and accentuates the luminosity of the pigments. The dialogue between the rigor of the vertical line and the organic movement of the center creates a constant visual tension.
The technique favors instinct and the force of the stroke. Traces of impasto are observed that catch the light. This canvas work explores the duality between order and disorder through a play of primary and neutral colors.
