Description
Geometric abstraction is expressed here through a rigorous dialogue between lines and color. The composition is structured around blue bands that cut across a deep green background. This chromatic contrast creates a balanced visual tension.
The work on the material brings an essential tactile dimension. The artist uses a mixture of acrylic, wood, and cement to sculpt the surface. This superposition of materials gives relief to the lines.
The precision of the angles evokes invisible architecture. The eye circulates between the verticals and the horizontal that breaks the monotony. Each area is treated with particular attention to the grain.
Realized in 2003, this painting explores serenity through structure. The density of the cement anchors the work in a physical reality. The blue stretches in sharp ribbons on a textured support.
